Description:In April 1997, the Bogoŋ chiefs and elders organised three evening sessions where I recorded all in all 40 stories. This document has the transcriptions of stories told by Nana Kwame. Original recordings can be found in bundles 0040-Duck, tortoise and the well and 0040-Dog, leopard and the rabbit.
The Sei Binɛ (Chief Priest of Bogoŋ). Also known as Nana Kwame. He is the junior brother of Tubaale Okuma. Born probably in the 1920s. In 2007 Nana Kwame Awiagah became the new Chief priest of the Bogoŋ. His senior brother converted to Islam in 2006, so he is/was the oldest eligible priest when the former Chief priest died.
The son of Nana Kwame Awiagah (Chief Priest) and Akosia Daare
