Description:Masarat Dohanbaabo plays two lyre songs, the first in the kaldi baaba-rhythm, the second in the woysa, or more precisely, the Baskeet woysa-rhythm. The name woysa alludes to the sextett of bamboo flutes called woysa. His sister Mahane Dohanbaabo joins in in the second song.
Mahane is a potter and a musician playing the lyre and the woysa-flute. Mahane is Tal'ane Abusho's cousin, Masarat Dohanbaabo's younger sister and K'oyaaso Maammo's wife.
Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
Masarat Dohanbaabo is the older brother of Mahane Dohanbaabo, Ashabbir Dohanbaabo and Illiha Dohanbaabo.
