Description:In this video, Granny Passang Gyem describes and demonstrates how to weave traditional and wollen cloths with step-by-step-process In nyenkha spoken at Phobjikha. She also tells the names of all necessary equipments those need to be used for this kind of traditional weaving.
Wangchuk is a PhD researcher at the University of Essex. He is Pi, from Phonjikha who is a native speaker of Nyenkha.
Yangchen is a student and lives in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. She is a helper and a native speaker of Kurtoekha.
Passang Gyem is the Granny of the family. She is a native of Nyenkha and uses Dzongkha for non-native speakers and for commercial purpose as well. She is the oldest in the household and resource person for the traditions handed down from the forefathers.
Ugyen works for the DDC office and employed as RA with Wangchuk Rinzin. He is a native of Tshangla and uses Dzongkha and English as the national language and international language, respectively.
