Description:The speaker explains how naming a child was strictly after dead relatives up until recently when people started naming after the living.
Jane Oduor is the Okiek language documentor.
Patrick works within the Okiek community as a social worker and community mobilizer. In this project he also assisted in community mobilization, video recording, translating and annotating.
Simon Konana Konini is a respected community elder who took who participated in many documentation sessions. He is the narrator of the story in the second session (okiek_Narratives002).
