| Description: | The speaker narrates how the Okiek used to tiptoe in the forest while hunting in order to avoid attracting the attention of the prey or even the enemies. He also describes how they set traps making sure they do not put too many so as not to render the prey extinct. He then goes on to explain how the meat was stored in honey bags and eaten during famine. Expectant mothers did not eat the meat from a wounded or sick animal. The speaker gives reasons for this. He adds by giving the naming traditions of a newborn child. | |
