Description:This conversation involves the way the Okiek used to greet one another. Since I had informed them the previous day that I would visit Leah's home, they wanted as many women as possible to be present. So, in the conversation, they ask one another where certain women, who were expected to be present, are. It also emerges in the conversation that when some people receive money, they prefer to go and drink alcohol.
Jane Oduor is the Okiek language documentor.
Patrick works within the Okiek community as a social worker and community mobilizer. In this project he also assisted in community mobilization, video recording, translating and annotating.
