Description:		The author talks about his childhood spent in Belovo dictrict - a traditional rural area where the Teleuts historically dwelled and then about his youth and mature years in the Far East of Russia - the town of Okhotsk on the coast of the Okhotsk sea. He remembers stories of his childhood as well as his life and work in the Far East as a fisherman and then at the fish-processing factory on a collective farm in Soviet times. He also describes the Far East nature and his present-day place of living - the city of Khabarovsk.
