Description:In this session, Chidom Jebisow from the village of Buragaon in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh is narrating the story of Mudrugoa-suĝusoa, a clan that used to reside in the hills of Moraka. The clan, as the story goes, was massacred by the Nuĝa-Nuĝu to avenge his wife Nuĝa-Nuĝum's death. Only two members of the entire clan survived, Mudruĝoa-soĝsom and Mudruĝoa-badzüm, daughter of Mudruĝoa-süĝfow. The aim of the video is to capture and preserve the rich oral traditional art of story telling of the Hrusso Aka tribe. This art serves as an important means of passing down of traditional knowledge from one generation to another, which is unforutanetly a dying practice.
