Description:Norman Galapin and Hilda Lopez discuss learning to sign, oralism in schools, and their difficulties with hearing aids in the past. While Hilda lost her hearing as a young child, Norman was born deaf. They also discuss learning other sign languages, like Mexican Sign Language and American Sign Language, and Hilda's husband joins in, providing signs from Mexican Sign Language. Norman and Hilda talk about signs for different sea animals, and the sign for 'snail' which is the same as the old sign for 'VolksWagen', and what types of animals are good to eat and which are not.
