Description:Declarative clause, relative clause and complex clauses have been discussed in chapter 12. In Kwom, simple declarative clause is formed from a noun phrase and a verb phrase. A relative clause is introduced by a relative pronoun. The relative pronouns are /dé/ for singular masculine gender, /dó/ or /dú/ for singular feminine gender and /dà/ or /búnà/ for both plural masculine and feminine gender. Therefore, the relative verb is in agreement with the gender of the head noun. Conditional clauses are introduced by /dá/ or /ʔá/ alternatively. The section includes discussion of clause of reason, concessive clause, temporal clause and interrogative clause. The basic word order in Kwom is SVO but the other alternative word order is also attested.
