Description:Offering for Budhahang on the second day of the Wadhangmi festival.
This is the second ritual in a series of offerings held at the house of the chambak (shaman) on the second day of the Wadhangmi festival.
The language used is Chintang ritual language, a particular register of ancestral speech.
The chambak invited the team to record this session in his house and courtyard.
Dr. Gaenszle is the researcher in charge of ethnography
He is member of the Tuprihang clan. Like his elder brother BhR he is a Chambak, i.e. a tribal shaman, who goes into trance during certain occasions. Both brothers live in adjoining households.
