| Description: | The participants were requested by the collector (Netra) to talk about their views on our language documentation project. All the participants of this session are primary level school teachers and also language lovers of Chintang. They have recently formed a committee to preserve their language: Chintang. As all the speakers of this session are very good in Chintang, this session is also very important in terms of linguistic data. The recording took place during the day time at a home in Chintang. The sound qualitiy of this session is good. | |
| This text is about the community's view on our language documentation project. They also express their views on Netra's PHD project in the same language. | ||
| The whole talk is in the Chintang language. There are some lexical borrowings from Nepali as well. | ||
| Lokendra, Surya and Udhav are the speakers of this session. Netra recorded it. | ||
| He is a native speaker of Chintang. He works as a primary school teacher in the same village. | ||
| Surya is a teacher of a primary School in Chintang. He is a very good singer. Both he and his parents are native Chintang. He has never left the area for more than two months. His wife comes from a Bramin family and has got one daughter. He speaks Nepali to his wife and both Chintang and Nepali to their daughter. | ||
| I completed Masters Degree in Linguistics from Tribhuvan University, and currently working as a Research Assistant in the (DOBES) project. I am in charge of Linguistic works and analysis. | ||
