In this session, Janak and Ganesh Kumar talk about miscellaneous things regarding society, culture, religion and many times the conversation swithces into other several subject matters like marriage, career etc. Janak asks Ganesh about Chintag Devi and way of worshipping, how is the society going ahead in the path of development? Why has he read arts? how the people are getting modern facilities ect. And, Ganesh replies the way of worshipping, killing animals. Besides, he says that the village is getting modern facilities like road, electricity, communication etc. In the course of conversation, he provides the detail of their village. | ||
Mostly, Chintang language is used. Some lexemes from Bantwa and Nepali are also borrowed. | ||
Janak Rai asks Ganesh some questions regarding society, culture, religion, education, transportation, career etc and Ganesh replies them. Even, they involve in lenghty discussion. Toya Nath Bhatta records this session. | ||
Ganesh is college level student. He was born and brought up in Chintang. Both of her parents are Chintang. | ||
Mr. Bhatta has passed M.A Linguistics and English Literature. He is Research Assistant in Chintang and Puma Documentation Project (CPDP) and Lecturer of Linguistics. His keen interst lies in Tibeto- Burman Language specially morpho-syntax. | ||
Janak works as one of our regular consultants. She is a college level student. She was born and brought up in Chintang, Shambugaun. Both her parents are native Chintang. But her ethnicity (Chara) is not Chintang. She has never left the area for long time. | ||
