Description:This text shows the different cuts in Chintang. It is recorded in CNAS. The session has the experimental setting since many instruments are arranged to cut. It is recored inside the room and out side.
In this text, the informants Lash Kumari, Janak and Rikhimaya discuss on various types of cuts in Chintang. Lash Kimari discusses with them cutting the sticks , branches and grass and confirmed whether she is right or not. They apply many cuts, manner of cutting and come in conclusion.
Mostly, Chintang language is used but some lexemes from other languages like Bantawa and Nepali are also borrowed.
Rikhimaya, Janak and Lash kumari experiment on various cutting and Toya Nath Bhatta records this session. Basically, this session is prepared for Prof.Dr Novel Kishore Rai for praper presentation in Simala.
The consultant has been working as a research collaborator helping with grammatical analysis, transcriptions and translations. She is doing a BEd in English and was in the third year when the project started.
She works as one of our regular consultants. She is a college level student. . Her ethnicity is (Yupuchung) is t Chintang.
Mr. Bhatta has passed M.A Linguistics and English Literature. He is Research Assistant in Chintang and Puma Documentation Project (CPDP) and Lecturer of Linguistics. His keen interst lies in Tibeto- Burman Language specially morpho-syntax.
Janak works as one of our regular consultants. She is a college level student. She was born and brought up in Chintang, Shambugaun. Both her parents are native Chintang. But her ethnicity (Chara) is not Chintang. She has never left the area for long time.
