This is a chant for ancestral worship called yupung performed by a village elder. This text is a part of the mundhum. It is only a short sample presented for our documentation.
This is a text in ritual language, a distinct register of speech used in religious contexts.
The sample of ritual language performance was given on the request by IR during a yupung ritual at a Ghume house.
She is a student and facilitator for this recording.
He works as research assistant for the ethnographic documentation of Chintang speech traditions.
He is of the Subhara clan and one of the knowledgeable elders in Chintang and works as a priest in the ritual ceremony of Chintang Rai
