Description:		The participant was requested by the collector (Netra) to sing a folk song. Mahendra sings a popular folk song. The recording took place during the day time at a home at Tangkera, in Ahale VDC of Dhankuta district. The sound qualitiy of this session is good.
		This is a traditional folk song popular in Tangkera. He sings how local people go to graze their animals. The song also tells something about village life.
		Chintang is the only language that is used throughout this session.
		Netra is the recorder and Mahendra is the singer of this session.
		He was born and brought up in Ahale. Both he and his parents have Chintang as the first native language. His ethnic clan is Naika. He has never left the area for long time.
		I completed Masters Degree in Linguistics from Tribhuvan University, and currently working as a Research Assistant in the (DOBES) project. I am in charge of Linguistic works and analysis.
