Description:The singer describes the hard time Jieng (Dinka) people faced during the war. She says that people hid under the trees because they feared the bombing planes. The planes destroyed our area. In the song, she admonishes a coward not to be afraid, and not to waste his cows. She then encourages Dinka people to unite and to be in agreement. She adds that when the president wants to say something, you should listen to him. She asks the community to support the anyanya (the SPLA), and not to be against them. They are our brothers. This land is given to us by our creator. She also describes how the enemy destroyed Akobo, a Nuer village in their area. She is worried about her knees because of too much grinding dura. She says, “I will overcome the pain and serve my people.”
