Description:Once upon a time, there was a mother and her two daughters: Gser.mo.’tsho, the golden girl, who was smart and brave, and Dngul.mo.’tsho, the silver girl, who was foolish and didn’t know much. One day, their mother said she would go fetch water, but Gser.mo.’tsho warned her not to sit on the boulder or release a fart there. The mother forgot Gser.mo.’tsho’s warnings, sat on the boulder and farted. This released a female vampire who ate the mother. The vampire then disguised herself as the mother and returned home and asked them to open the door. Gser.mo.’tsho and Dngul.mo.’tsho were suspicious when they saw the hair on the vampires hands. The vampire then singed off the hair on her hands and the girls let her in the house, but Gser.mo.’tsho had already realized it wasn’t their real mother. That night, the vampire told them that the smart one should sleep in front and the dumb one behind. So Gser.mo.’tsho slept behind and Dngul.mo.’tsho in front. During the night, the vampire ate Dngul.mo.’tsho. Gser.mo.’tsho, realizing what had happened, tricked the vampire by pretending she needed to go pee. She asked to be tied with a rope so the vampire could monitor her, but instead tied the rope to a pig and escaped. The vampire chased her, and Gser.mo.’tsho called out to Grandfather Moon, asking him to throw down a rope. The moon threw down a golden rope and Gser.mo.’tsho climbed into the sky. The vampire begged for the same, but the moon threw a grass rope instead. As the vampire climbed it, Gser.mo.’tsho lit it on fire. The rope burned. The vampire fell to the ground and died.
