Abstract: Several Burmese speakers read two different dialogues. The first one is set in a bus on the Sule bus line (Yangon) ; the next one is about the rural life in Tagyigon village in Hmawbi township (North of Yangon). The recording also contains the end of lessons 9, 10 and 11 of U Hkun’s reading manual.

Différents locuteurs lisent des dialogues en birman. Le premier se passe dans un bus sur la ligne Sule (Yangon) et le second rapporte la vie rurale dans le village de Tagyigon, township de Hmawbi, au nord de Yangon. L’enregistrement contient aussi la fin des leçons 9, 10 et 11 du livre de lecture d’U Hkun.

Description: Deux locuteurs lisent le dialogue birman ''Dans le bus'' (Bus car baw hma, qui est apparemment un extrait des lectures de U Kun inscription support bande; correspond au dialogue entendu dans l'enregistrement de 1966, bande-065-B). C’est un dialogue entre le contrôleur du bus (spare) et les voyageurs, ou entre le contrôleur et le conducteur du bus sur la ligne Sule (Yangon) (jusqu'à 4 min.). Les deux locuteurs répètent ensuite le dialogue très lentement afin que les élèves puissent répéter les phrases. (jusqu'à 20.10 min.). Trois locuteurs (deux hommes et une femme) parlent du village de Tagyigon, dans le township de Hmawbi, de la manière de s'y rendre, de la vie agricole, des prix des denrées sur les marchés, du rythme agricole (identique à celui de l'enregistrement de 1964-bande 023-B). (jusqu'à 28.27 min.). Fin d'une lecture des leçons de U Khun par Brenda Pe Maung Tin (leçon 9 et 10, 11, coupé à 30.30 min.).

Two Burmese speakers read the dialogue “On the bus” (Bus car baw hma, which is apparently an excerpt from U Hkun’s reading manual – according to the tape recording data; it corresponds to the dialogue recorded in 1966-065-B). It is a dialogue between the bus controller (spare) and bus passengers, and between the bus controller and the driver on the Sule bus line (Yangon) (until 4 min.). The two speakers then repeat the dialogue very slowly to let students repeat each sentence (until 20.10 min.). Three speakers (two men and a woman) are talking about Tagyigon village, in Hmawbi township, and the way to get get there ; about rural life, prices of commodities at the market, about the agricultural cycle (this dialogue is similar to the one found in recording 1964- 023-B) (until 28.27 min.). Finally we can hear the end of one of U Hkun’s lessons, read by Brenda Pe Maung Tin (lessons 9 and 10, 11, then cut at 30.30 min.).
