Abstract:		The different tones of Jinghpaw (Kachin) language are here recorded. A Kachin woman is pronouncing the different tones for the syllables ‘wa’, ‘hpum’, ‘ngam’ and ‘hkan’. Three words with final consonants /t/ and /p/ are recorded as well to distinguish the different tones.
		Il s'agit d'un enregistrement des différents tons du Jinghpaw (kachin). Les différents tons sont prononcés sur les syllabes 'wa', hpum', 'ngam' et 'hkan' par une femme Kachin. Trois mots avec consonnes finales (/t/ et /p/) sont aussi enregistrés avec les différents tons.
		ဤတွင် ဂျိန်းဖော(ကချင်) ဘာသာစကား၏ မတူညီသောအသံထွက်နှင့် စကားသံများကို အသံသွင်းထားသည်။ ကချင်အမျုိးသမီးတစ်ဦးသည် ‘ဝ’၊ ‘ဖွန်’၊ ‘ငံ’၊ ‘ခန်’ ဝဏ္ဏတို့ကို အသံထွက်အမျိုးမျိုးဖြင့်် ရွတ်ဆိုထားသည်။ နောက်ဆက်သော ‘တ’ ဗျည်းအက္ခရာ၊ ‘ပ’ ဗျည်းအက္ခရာနှင့် တွဲသည့်စကားလုံးသုံးလုံးတို့ကိုလည်း အသံထွက်အမျိုးမျိုးဖြင့်် ရွတ်ဆို၍ အသံ အနိမ့်၊ အမြင့် မတူညီမှုကို သိသာစေရန် အသံသွင်းထားပါသည်။

Description:		The consultant noticed discrepancies and misinterpretations of words with a same spelling in Kachin writing, but with different meanings according to the tone pronunciation. For instance, ‘hpum’- is given as meaning 'big' ; however 'hpum' means 'fat' rather than big, when ‘big’ must be translated 'kaba'. Also, the speaker pronounces ‘hkan’ – supposed to mean ‘to follow’ in that context - with the tone conveying it the meaning of ‘to fish’. Finally, the final consonants /t/ and /p/, which are supposed to be silent in Jinghpaw language, are being pronounced in the recording. For instance, the word meaning 'knee' is written 'laphut', and the final T should not be pronounced according to our consultant.
		La consultante note des traductions erronées et des incohérences entre prononciation des tons et sens attribués. Par exemple, le mot 'Hpum' est donné comme signifiant ‘gros’. Or, ce mot signifie plutôt ‘gras’ ; ‘gros’ devant être traduit par ‘kaba’. En outre, la locutrice prononce le mot ‘hkan’ – 'suivre' –avec le ton du mot du mot ‘hkan’ – 'pêcher'. Pour finir, les consonnes finales ‘t’ et ‘p’ ne sont normalement pas prononcées en Jinghpaw, alors qu'elles le sont dans cet enregistrement. Par exemple, le mot pour ‘genou’ orthographié ‘lahput’ est terminé par une consonne qui ne devrait pas être prononcée selon notre consultante.
		ဂျိန်းဖော (ကချင်) စကားတလုံးကို အဓိပ္ပါယ်ပြန်ဆိုရာတွင် စာလုံးပေါင်းနှင့် အရေးအသားပါတူညီသော်လည်း ပြောဆိုရတွင် အသံ အနိမ့်၊ အမြင့်နှင့် အသံထွက်ပေါမူတည်၍ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ကွဲလွဲမှုများရှိသည်အတွက်ကြောင့် ဘာသာပြန်ဆိုရတွင် မမှန်ကန်သည့်ဘာသာပြန်ဆိုမှုများ၊ တလွဲဘာသာပြန်ဆိုမှုများရှိနေသည်ကို သူတေသီတစ်ဦးသည် သတိပြုမိသည်။ ဥပမာဆိုလှျင် ‘ဖွမ်‘စကားလုံးကို အနက်အဓိပ္ပါယ် ‘ကြီးသည်’ ဟုဘာသာပြန်ဆိုသော်လည်း အမှန်စင်စစ်အနက်အဓိပ္ပါယ်က ‘ဝသည်’ ဟူလို၊ ‘ကြီးသည်’ ဆိုလှျင် ‘ကဗ’ ဟုဘာသာပြန်ဆိုရသည်။ ထို့ပြင်လည်း ဤစကားပြောဆိုသူက ‘လိုက်သည်’ ဟုဘာသာပြန်ဆိုထားသည့် ‘ခန်’ စကားလုံးကား မှားသည့်အသံထွက်ခဲ့၍ ‘ငါးဖမ်းသည်’ အနက်အဓိပ္ပါယ်ပါသည်။ နောက်ဆုံးတစ်ချက်က ဂျိန်းဖောဘာသာစကားတွင် စကားလုံးတို့၏နောက်၌ တည်သည့် ‘တ’၊ ‘ပ’ ဗျည်းအက္ခရာတို့ကို များသောအားဖြင့် အသံမထွက်ရသော်လည်း ဤစကားပြောဆိုသူက ‘ဒူးခေါင်း’ဟု အနက်အဓိပ္ပါယ်ရသည့် ‘လဖွတ်’ စကားလုံး၏နောက်၌တည်သည့် ‘တ’ ဗျည်းအက္ခရာကို အသံထွက်ခဲ့သည်။
