Description:Translation (Tu Hkawng) In the beginning, there was a princess, and the princess fell in love with every man who lived around the palace and in the palace. With all men, including the gatekeepers and counsellors, she fell in love with all of them. As such, the king (father) chased out his daughter from the palace and sent her to the place where there were 100 bullock carts. Then, the princess lived there and had stayed together with bullockies and was enjoying her life. One day, when she was partying with the bullockies, a lion came to their place, and the lion roared very loudly. At the time, the bullockies ran away after they heard the roaring of the lion; the princess was left alone. Then, the lion did not dare to eat her, so it brought her to its cave. Every day the lion went out to find food after it kept the princess in the cave, and then the lion brought back food for her and closed the entrance of the cave with the flatted stone every time. One day, they had a child. Day by day, the child was growing, and he had become 16 years old; after that, he said, "Hey mom, dad, and you are not similar, so tell me why is this happening, and he asked?" Then, the mom said, "Both of us are human beings." "Also, we are a royal clan, and your father is an animal; his clan is called a lion." Then, the young man said, "Hey mom, let us run away from dad to my granddad and grandmom." "How can we do it? As your father is very strong, and he might chase and arrest us, then we will be bitten up to death so that we should not run away." The child said, "No, we can run away mom as I am very strong, I can move away from the flatted stone of the cave." However, the mom said, "It cannot be, it cannot be, if your lion father came back, we might be in big trouble so that we should not do it." But the son insisted to run away and kept on saying to run away every day, one day, the mom said, "Can you give me a piggyback, the princess said?'' and the son replied, "I can give you a piggyback as I am very strong." Then, the son carried his mom on his back and ran away to a very far place. After that, they arrived at the royal palace, and then they lived in an absolutely shanty place. When the king heard about the news, he called them, and subsequently, he conferred the young boy as a new king. Soon later, one day a lion father really missed his wife and son; and he started a journey to find them in the entire world. Finally, he arrived at the royal palace. Once the lion (father) arrived at the royal palace, the royal guard asked him, "Why did you come here?" The lion said, "Because I want to meet with the king." Then, the guard said, " Okay, I will apprise the king, and the guard went to the king." He said, "My Lord, there is a lion that comes and wants to seek your audience." At the time, the king said, "I know it, do not open the door for him," then he came to check it. After the king saw the lion, he said, "This is my father who has nurtured my mom and me," but if the people know that I was an animal son, then they might overthrow me from the throne. Thus, he decided to kill his father and went to the royal palace entrance, where he saw his father. Then, he took the bow and shot his father with arrows. Utile the young king shot his father lion with the arrows six times, the lion still thought it was a joke and just bore them. On the seventh time, the lion realized that his son was shooting him, then the lion opened its mouth and roared loudly. At the time, the poisoned arrow entered into the lion's mouth. As the poisoned arrow hit the throat of the lion; hence, The father lion passed away. Since then, he had suffered a headache every day, and also wherever he went, although he called all the medical doctors and sorcerers from the royal palace and the whole country and treated his headache. However, it was not healed. Despite the treatment from the doctors, his head was not cured. After that, one prophet said, "My lord, you need to make a lion head statue; it must be made of gold and kept in one place, and then you should bow down after that only then your will be healed." Then the king made it, keeping the golden head of the lion at a very pretty and good place, and he bowed down. After a month of doing the bow downs, his head was cured. That is why, he said, "Ohh... I had got the sin because of killing my day," since then, they had been availing the lion head until today. Transcription (Lu Awng) Ndai dusat hpe e kawa nkam daw ai nga lam re.
