Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The title of the story is 'The greatest love of mom." Once upon a time, there was a family in a village. The couple got one daughter (Ma Kaw) first, and got one son (Ma Gam) later. The couple also loved each other so much. When the wife looked at their son after giving birth, the baby boy didn't have any ears. The father and mother were so sad about it. They two felt unhappy and thought, "Why didn't our son have any ears? He is so pitiful." But his parents treated him like normal person and didn't say anything harsh. And they let him play with his friends. But his friends teased and bullied him, "What kind of human are you? You don't even have ears!" When he heard like that, he was so unhappy. Actually, he was a handsome boy. And he was intelligent too. But he kept thinking about it and felt sad. He thought to himself, "Why didn't I have any ears? If I had ears, how great it would be for me and how much I would be happy?" His mother knew the thought of him. He said, "Mom, don't you want to replant ears for me?" At that time, he was so young and couldn't find the ears that matched for him. Then, he grew up and became a youth. One day, his parents called him and told, "Son, we have found the person who has the same blood type with you and will give the ears to you." Then, the parents replanted the ears for their son. He was so happy after having ears. He thought, "I look good now since I have got ears. I am so happy." Later, he asked his father, "Dad, who gave ears to me? I want to know. Tell me about that person, please." His father said, "No, I can't tell you. That person told us not to tell." Whenever he asked, his father always said like that. So, he never asked again. Many years later, his mother died. He sat beside her and kindly touched her dead body. When his mother was alive, she always covered her ears. When he tucked his mom's hair behind her ears, he was so shocked. There weren't any ears on her body! He cried and thought, "Oh, my mom. You didn't have any ears even when you died. I was wrong. I shouldn't have told like that." And he regretted so much. Transcription (Lu Awng) Gabaw gaw mauhpa nu a tsaw myit da.
