Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) I have lots of stories to tell. I am going to tell one story first. It is about birds. We teach our children according to how the world has changed. Then, I live in Radakawng (B) quarter. It is 27th January, 2017. The story is about birds. It is about a crow and a black drongo. The crow had many baby birds. The crow couple had to find lots of food for their family. And they didn't eat vegetables and whatever they found. They ate only meat. So, they had to find meat and catch some small birds for their meal. While one was looking after the baby birds, one went out to find food. Since they had many children, it was difficult for them to get enough food. So, the crow couple discussed and talked, "We should hire a babysitter for our children. Whom shall we let to look after our children?" They decided, "We will hire a black bird which is similar with us." Then, they hired a black drongo. (There are two kinds of black drongo: kri gawn and kri jap. Kri Gawn is a little bit big. Kri jap is a small one.) They let Kri jap (a small black drongo) look after their children. Then, a small black drongo asked, "What will you two give me if I look after your children? I can't look after for free." The crow couple answered, "We will give you a viss of gold." Then, the crow couple went out to find meat while the black drongo was looking after their children. After some days, the baby crows had grown up and didn't need to be taken care. The little crows could fly and find food by themselves. So, the black drongo asked the crow, "Where is my one viss of gold which you promised to give me? Give me now." But the crow couple couldn't give that gold. Then, the crow family flew away. So, the black drongos chased the crows away whenever they saw them. The black drongos always attacked the crows. The amazing thing is that the crow is this much. It can attack the small birds and eat meat. But the small black drongo always attacks the crow. When the black drongo attacks, it even makes sound 'ja joi, ja joi, ja joi'. (ja joi means a viss of gold.) Since the crow was the one who had debt on the black drongo, it always ran away although the black drongo was not as big as it. Till today, whenever the black drongo sees the crow, it attacks. When the black drongos hear the sound of the crows, they all come there and attack them. And the crows need to run away every time because they have debt of a viss of gold on the black drongos and they didn't give the fee to the black drongos for looking after their children.
