Description:		Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I am going to tell is about a man and a monkey. Once upon a time, a man was cutting bushes and cleaning his field. While he was doing that, the monkeys were daring to take food from the field. So, he thought how to kill those monkeys. He was depressed. He decided that he should kill and set a trap for the monkey. Then he put fermented and intoxicating rice on his body and lay on the ground. While he was lying down there, a troop of monkeys came there. Then that troop of monkeys carried that man. They carried him, and they passed the hills and ravines. He was staying like a statue and not moving at all. He followed them without moving a bit. When he followed them, they arrived at the cave where the monkeys lived. When they reached there, he opened his eyes and started moving. He saw that there were many gold and jade in that monkey's cave. Suddenly, he shouted, "Oiiiiiii!" He shouted for a long time. Then the monkeys were frightened and ran away. When the monkeys ran away, he picked all those gold and jade. And he went back home. At first, he was poor and didn't have anything to eat. But he picked gold and jade from the monkeys, and he became rich in the village. When he had lots of properties, one of his neighbours felt jealous of him. That man also cut the bushes and cleaned his field like the first man. While he was doing that, a troop of monkeys came and destroyed his field too. Since the monkeys did like that, he also thought about how to handle with those monkeys. While he was thinking about how to do, he got an idea to do the same as the man who got lots of gold from the monkeys. So, he applied fermented and intoxicated rice on his body. And he lay down on the ground. While he was lying, the monkeys took him. They passed the hills, mountain and ravines too. The first two or three ravines were not deep. But when they arrived at the deepest ravine, he said "Hey! Monkeys! Carry me nicely." The monkeys got scared and threw him into the ravine. So, it was not good if you wanted your friend's properties and got jealous of others. Being greedy on someone's properties was not good too. If we are greedy and want that kind of things, we could lose our lives. This story is that if you were greedy on other's properties, you could lose your own life. It's like someone possesses you if you are too greedy. Feel like we are not the real us. This is the end of the story.
