Description:Translation (Lydia Seng) Long ago, there was a village. A man and a woman were very much in love. The man was a businessman and often he went on a trip and did his business. After they got married, he told his wife to stay there and wait for him to come home. Long ago, people traded ivory and valuable things from the forests, so they must invest at least three years or more in business. One day, the married man returned home after a three-years business trip. When he arrived at the paddy just outside the village, he noticed smoke coming from the kitchen where people were cooking. Furthermore, there was the noise of dogs and pigs and also the sound of the people pounding grain as the village was so alive. He remembered when he was in the village, this area was completely covered by paddy fields. And then he asked a woman, "Sister, why are you living here?" "How come you no longer live in the village?" She answered, Oh... "There's something scary in the village." She didn't want to talk about his wife's death, but she mentioned something that: "Your wife is terrible." She didn't say his wife passed away. The man said sarcastically, "No matter what, she is a very good woman for me." "So, you go and see her," she said, then the man replied, "Of course I will go to her." Near sunset, the man passed the paddy field and saw his place from a distance. He thought people were out of their minds, and then he went home, and he saw that his wife appeared healthy and gained weight. She welcomed her husband and said, "It took you so long to get home." Then he said to his wife, "People told me that you were dead. How can it be? They were nuts." "It just didn't make any sense." At that moment, the sun went down slowly, and he saw many people walking that was changed his sight by his devil wife. So, when he saw everything was natural, like the houses, the people walking, the dogs and the pigs. But when the darkness slowly covered all the places, everything became quiet and started to ruin everything that he saw. It's been three years since he left his hometown, and now he's watched the smoke coming out of the kitchen where people cooked. And so, he believed that the devil was about to eat him when more darkness came. When the darkness increased, the face of the devil deteriorated. He was terrified at the appearance of the devil's original face. The devil sat calmly and sewed garments. He went on to say to his wife, "I want to go to the bathroom to urinate." He figured she couldn't help him with that excuse. But the evil woman was using a sewing machine and said, "You can go urinate in front of the house." Furthermore, she said, "Take this needle, whose thread I hold." Then, he picked up the needle and left the house. The man decided, "I had to run from this terrified demonic woman." Then he stabbed the needle into the big wooden mortar and ran away. Later, the evil woman suspected that just urinating was so long that she came out to check for him. When she left out of the house, she discovered the needle and the thread she was holding just punched in the large wooden mortar. The evil women followed him and mumbled, "You said you loved me so much before and now you don't love me anymore." After he ran away, the man met two guys and hoped that they would help him out of that situation. The two men asked, "Why are you running so fast?" The man said, "My wife was already dead, but I wasn't aware of it, now she became the devil and she wouldn't let me go." The two men said, "People are already informing you that your wife has passed away." Yes, I was told, but when I watched the village, it was the same before. Both men said, "The devil changed your view, which is why you saw it that way." The devil did not fear the two men and followed him. So, the two men said, "We can't help you, we're afraid of that kind of demon as well." The man kept running. The devil also kept following and said, "You loved me before, now you no longer loved me." As a matter of fact, the man thought the devil was his real wife, but she wasn't and the devil pretended to be his wife. Then she stretched out her hand to the man who was running and ate him.
