Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there were a widow and her son in a village. The widow went to the beach every day and caught some fish for a living. So, she had to leave her son at home. She told him, "When I go fishing, you go to school and learn lessons." But he didn't go to school. While his mother went to the sea and caught some fish, he walked around the village and played with his friends without going to school. One day, a strong storm hit the village. The boy was hit by the storm and was blown away. He was worried and thought, "Mom is going to worry about me. She is catching fish for us to earn some money." While he was playing with his friends, he was blown away because of the storm. Meanwhile, the widow thought, "Where is my son going?" She was searching for him, but she couldn't find him. When she was searching for her son near the beach, there was a strong storm. Since she couldn't find her son, she thought to be blown away by the storm. On the other hand, the son tried to find his mother when the storm stopped. But he didn't see his mother. He was searching for her everywhere, but he couldn't find her. He was upset with the thought, "My mother told me to go to school, but I didn't listen to her. So, we are separated now. It's all because I didn't listen to her." He regretted his action, but he and his mother never saw each other again. Transcription (La Ring) Moi shawng de gaida hkan nu nga ai da dai mare langai kaw.
