Description:Translation (Htoi San) Once in a village, there was a rich family and a poor man. The poor man was a woodcutter. He didn't even have an axe, so he had to borrow it from his neighbour. In that way, he collected the wood and sold it for his living. One day, he happened to cut the wood near a big lake. Unfortunately, he accidentally dropped his axe into it. He tried to find it, but the lake was too deep. So, he couldn't find it. He was depressed, "Now, I need to pay back for this axe. What should I do?" And he was crying sadly. At that moment, GOD spoke to him. GOD said, "My beloved son, why are you crying hard by sitting near the lake?" He answered, "Our Mighty GOD, I am just a poor woodcutter. I can't even afford to buy an axe. I need to borrow it from my neighbour. But now, I accidentally dropped the axe into the lake. So I am depressed and cried." GOD comforted him, "Don't feel upset. Just close your eyes for a minute." After some time, GOD told him to open his eyes. At that time, he saw his axe floating and a pack tied to the axe. GOD told him, "Pick it up. Don't open it on the way. Just open it when you arrive home." He listened to GOD and carried it home. He didn't carry any wood. When he opened it at home, he saw there was gold inside it. Then, he got rich. He even became richer than others. So, the villagers were asking him how he got rich. One day, the rich man came to ask him how he got rich. He asked him, "You were penniless in the past. How did you get rich this much?" Then, the man told him everything honestly. The rich man got jealous of him because he got rich in a short time. He thought of an idea: how to get richer. Then, he pretended to be poor. He went into the forest and cut the wood every day. One day, he went to the lake and pretended he was cutting the trees. And he intentionally put the axe into the lake. He started crying near the lake. At that time, GOD spoke to him too. He said, "I am just a poor woodcutter. I don't even have enough money to buy the axe, so I borrow it from my neighbour. Unfortunately, my axe is dropped into the lake." GOD told him, "Close your eyes for a moment." Soon, the axe and a pack was floating in the water. GOD told him, "Salvage it. But don't open it on your way home." Then, he went back home happily with the thought of being richer. When he opened it, there was a giant ghoul inside it. He lost most of his properties, then he became poor. We can't look down on poor people. And we can't be jealous of others too. No matter how rich or poor we are, we should live our lives with a good mindset. Then, we can get a meaningful life.
