Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there was a man in a village. He borrowed money from his friend. But he didn't pay it back even though he had enough money and no matter how many times his friend asked him to pay back. One day, the creditor was dead. Then, the debtor thought, "I have to give his money, but he is dead now." And he went to the funeral. He felt unhappy. He stayed there the whole night. He thought, "I have to pay his money back," and frequently looked at the dead body. He felt like the dead body was looking at him. He thought, "Maybe it's just my illusion." And he looked at the dead body again. Then, the dead body sat down and stared at him. At the time when we worshipped Nat spirits, we mustn't let a black cat jump over a dead body. If not, the dead body will be possessed by a demon. Actually, his dead friend was jumped over by a black cat. The corpse woke up and jumped over him. They were fighting. But the other villagers who were sleeping at the funeral house didn't notice and just slept soundly. Then, one of the neighbours saw them and came hurriedly to them. And he beat the corpse with a broom. At that time, the corpse couldn't move and collapsed on the floor. The next day, the villagers buried the corpse by burning. The debtor went there too although he was so scared. When they burnt the corpse, the whole body was burnt completely except the heart. The soul of the creditor couldn't leave everything and still remembered that his friend didn't pay money back to him. The debtor also thought, "I couldn't give his money back to him yet. That's why his heart couldn't be burnt." The villagers said, "What's wrong? Why couldn't this corpse be burnt completely? Bring a spear and stab the heart." Before they could stab the heart, it exploded loudly. And the pieces of the heart stuck on the debtor. He was scared out of his wits and died on the spot.
