Description:Translation (Htoi San) A long time ago, there were two kings. They were very close friends. One day, one king said to another, "Friend, when our kids are older, let them marry each other." The prince and the princess had been friends since they were young. They lightly loved and were close to each other. They kept company with each other. The prince returned to his kingdom, and his father ordered him to learn martial arts to defend himself if there was a war in his country. The prince was so talented in martial arts. The prince kingdom was so peaceful. One day, the other country wanted to get the princess kingdom. So they started the war for the princess country. The princess's father told her, "My child, go and change your dress with the cook's dress." The father told his daughter to change the clothes of the cooks. The princess went to the cook, who wanted to wear princess clothes, to change her dress. The cook told the princess, "If you call me 'Princess' one time, I will exchange my clothes for you to wear." The princess agreed with the cook and said, "Alright, sure. I can call you Princess," then she called the cook "Princess" one time. Hereafter, they exchanged their clothes. After changing dresses, the cook was so happy, "I have never worn something like this princess dress even once in my life before," and she rounded herself with joy. When the enemies saw the cook and thought she was a princess, "Look over there! The princess is trying to escape," they shot with a crossbow and killed the cook. The king and his daughter ran away from their palace. They fled with their servants, and it was getting dark. When they reached a forest, it was totally dark; therefore, they planned to sleep there. That night, they slept in that forest and continued their journey the next day. The princess woke up earliest and found a flower. It was near a waterfall. A dragon man saw her and asked his runners to check her, then he loved her so much. The dragon man fell for the princess. The dragon made one of his guards to be a flower. When the princess looked at it, it was a flower, but it actually was a guard. When the guard ran around, the princess saw it as if the flower was going away. The flower smelled so good as it was blowing away. She chased the flower as she liked the fragrance of the flower in the early morning. She lost her way because she followed the flower. As the flower stopped running, the princess took and smelled it, then fainted. The flower was the dragon's guard, so he took the princess to his master. Then he put the princess in the dragon's place. When the princess's father and servants woke up, they could not find the princess. The king found footprints while they were searching for his daughter. "Where is my daughter going? Let's follow these footprints," said the king and went after those footsteps. The footprints disappeared when they reached the waterfall. The king said, "Whatever it takes, my daughter might jump down into it. The spirits from this waterfall might take her." The father was so sorrowful. The king wrote a letter to the prince and sent it with his runner. The prince followed and came to the place where the king was. The father king requested the prince, "Please save my daughter. We could not find her at this waterfall." At that time, the dragon said to the princess, "I love you so much." "I love you dearly, so I asked my runners to take you," said the dragon. The princess replied, "I have a prince I love, and I can only love him." The dragon responded, "If so, call your prince." "I want to fight with your prince to compete with him who is stronger." "After we fight, the winner can take you," told the dragon. The princess agreed, "Alright, can." The dragon was confident and thought, "He cannot win me." There was a spirit prophet in the prince's kingdom. The old spirit prophet said, "If you go to the dragon to fight, I will give you something special." The nat prophet put poison in a lucky bottle and gave it to the prince. He told the prince, "Mix it with water and carry it with you." The prince brought it with him and went to the dragon. He carried the poison bottle as the old seer told him and went to fight. While they were fighting for a pretty long time, the prince requested, "Let's continue our fight tomorrow. Let's stop here." "Let me meet with the princess for just a while. We will continue our fight tomorrow, and I cannot win against you." The dragon accepted the prince's request, "Let's compete tomorrow. If you don't win tomorrow, the princess will be mine, so go and meet her for the last time." "Yes, I will encounter her for the last time," said the prince and went to meet the princess. "Here you go. I give this poison to you. Give this poison to the dragon after I die. You mix this poison with water and give it to kill him," the prince told the instruction. The prince continued, "After you assassinate him, you go to my country and live there well." Then they fought for the final round. The prince died in the fight. The dragon was mighty, and the spirit dragon so he could win the prince. Losing the fight, the prince died, and the dragon was so happy that he could get the princess. The princess said, "You can get me, so I want to give you something as a remark of our marriage tonight." "I will make a cup of coffee and give it to you as a celebration." The dragon was so joyful, and he accepted, "Yes. Of course." The princess made the drink, put the poison the prince gave her, mixed it with water, and then gave it to the dragon. When she passed it to the dragon, he did not check carefully and drank it. As a result, the dragon died due to the poison. After the dragon died, the princess escaped from there. Ultimately, the princess went to the prince's kingdom and lived there forever. Transcription (La Ring) Moi kalang mi hta da e hkaw hkam manang lahkawng nga ai da.
