Description:Translation (Seng Pan) The story is about a donkey and a horse. A long time ago, there lived a trader in a village. He traded the goods from one village to another village. The journeys were also long. He also had to pass the deserts. And he used a donkey to carry his goods. He brought many things and sold them in the other villages. Moreover, he also bought the goods and brought back to his village to sell. He let his donkey carry all his goods. On the way back home, he saw a beautiful horse that was selling in the market. He bought that horse to rear. The donkey asked help from the horse in the middle of the way since he had carried many goods. And the donkey was exhausted because he had carried the things in his master's round trip. So, the donkey said, "My friend, horse, please help me! I am so tired." "Don't ask me to carry those things! Even my master doesn't ride on me since I am so beautiful. Don't ask me that kind of help again!" the horse replied. So, the donkey kept silence. However, after a while, the donkey fell off since he was so tired. Therefore, the man hit the donkey badly with a stick. The donkey felt so sad and cried. The horse said, "You are useless. Although the master bought you with a lot of money, you are worthless." But the donkey did not reply anything. The donkey got up and continued the journey. The trader, the donkey, and horse stopped and drunk the water at a place. While the donkey was drinking water, he died as he was so exhausted. So, since the donkey was dead, the trader let the horse carry all his goods held by the donkey before. The trader couldn't leave his donkey that worked hard for him a long time. Therefore, he put all the things and the donkey's skin on the horse's back. He also rode on the horse and continued his journey. "If I helped my friend, donkey, I will not be so tired to arrive home. Now I have to carry his skin and go for a long journey," the horse mumbled in regret. Transcription (Lu Awng) Ya ngai tsun na lam gaw lawze hte gumra na lam re.
