Description:Translation (Htoi San) A long time ago, a king had two children in a country. One day, he gave orders to his two sons as he was getting old and unhealthy. He asked the elder son 'Ma Gam' to take over his place after he died. Ma Gam accepted his father's request. After that, the king passed away. Everybody agreed the elder son would be the king after his father's death. But he thought, "Instead of me being the king, I will let my younger brother be the king." Ma Gam was very talented at shooting crossbows. He also attended the school of shooting crossbows. He handed his right to his brother. His brother got the king position. The two brothers loved each other so much. But the servants badmouthed about the elder brother to the king brother, "Your brother Ma Gam is not good. Your elder brother is not okay." The king did not investigate well and believed that his brother was bad. He had a negative impact on his brother. The big brother was so sad and did not know what to do, so he had to leave the country as his younger brother did not like him. After leaving his own country, he reached another kingdom and met with the king of that nation. He told the king that he would be a servant. The king asked him, "What is the best you know?" "I don't know any other skills than shooting crossbows, which is my best skill." The attendants from that country said, "We also know how to shoot crossbows like him." The king from that nation judged, "Shoot the mango from the mango tree at once, which is the highest place." "After shooting down, you have to shoot half to the sky and another half to the ground. Can you do that?" The boy responded, "Alright, I will do that." He aimed the crossbow at the mango from the very high mango tree and shot up half of that fruit to the sky. Then he shot down another half to the ground. The king praised him, "You are good. You are very talented," and then the boy worked under that king not as a servant but as a runner. One day, robbers and chief commanders in war prepared to fight and started to open the battle with his brother country. His brother was so scared, and no one could shoot the crossbows. He missed his elder brother at that time. "My brother is very good at shooting crossbows. I was angry at him as I did not like him." "Now, he may not like me either, and he might be angry at me too. Even if I ask him to come, he won't come back to me," said the younger brother. But he managed to send a letter to his brother to come back to him. "I did not look into your case well, and I blamed you." "So, please forgive me," apologized the brother king. Ma Gam did not criticize his brother, and he forgave and then returned to his own country. He went back to his brother, and he sent a letter sticking on a bow to the people who wanted to open war with his country. He wrote, "If you dare, come to me." "Not only to this one country, I will shoot with this bow but also to seven countries to destroy all." After that, he shot that bow at his enemy's country. The bubble reached there, and the enemies, who were destroying his nation, saw that bow with the letter. When they read his letter, they were so afraid that he could shoot until destroying the seven countries. At last, they did not dare to go and make war with his nation. His younger brother was repentant and loved him more than before. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi kalang mi hta da ndai mungdan langai kaw ndai hkawhkam wa gaw da kasha 2 lu ai da.
