Description:This song, Ka Aere Tatou is in the Cook Islands Maori language. It is about the missionary Ruatoka who was met by Lakanitoi and Hanuabada villagers. Lakanitoi was the chief and the one who said to kill him first before they kill Ruatoka and the missionaries when the people were hostile to kill them. It is about being thankful that Lakanitoi was there to say don't kill them because they were friends to bring the good news.
