| Este pequeño libro se ha elaborado con el propósito de conservar la lengua zapoteca hablada en el municipio de Santa Ana Yareni, y de animar a los hablantes a leer en su propia lengua. Con este fin, se presentan algunos dibujos de diferentes objetos con la palabra que los nombra o, a veces, con una oración sencilla que los describe. A veces algunas personas dicen que no pueden leer el zapoteco aunque lo hablen; en este libro usted va a poder leer el zapoteco simplemente nombrando los objetos que aparecen. | ||
| This small book was produced with the idea of preserving the Zapotec language spoken in the municipality of Santa Ana Yareni and also to encourage its inhabitants to try reading their language. The book contains drawings of different objects along with the name of the object, or sometimes, with a simple sentence describing the drawing. People sometimes say they can't read Zapotec even though they speak it; in this book one can read Zapotec simply by naming the objects it contains. | ||
