Title:From endangered to less endangered: case histories from Brazil and Papua New Guinea
Abstract:

This article examines various factors in the revitalization of several endangered languages of Brazil and Papua New Guinea in which the people were in imminent danger of dying out as a group. Among these factors were access to consistent medical care and a heightened self-respect.
