Description:Récits, contes et chansons en belvédérois. La mémoire collective du village de Belvédère, dans la vallée de la Vésubie, est riche de toutes sortes d'informations en ce qui concerne la période allant de la fin de la première guerre à nos jours : l'éboulement de 1926, l'évacuation du village en juin 1940, le passage d'un groupe de Juifs en septembre 1943, les grands travaux de l'EDF dans la haute Gordolasque, des traditions festives et religieuses originales fédèrent le sentiment fort d'une communauté particulière, relativement isolée, dont une langue ancienne était le ciment.
Cette communauté est identifiée, connue et reconnue, en particulier, par un surnom (Banès, qui vient de la légende médiévale des Pagans) et par la chanson de Zéphirin Castellon (Viven toujou en mountagno).
