The project documents oral texts on traditions and daily life in the Reef Islands, covering 8 villages and 73 speakers ranging in age from 15 to 93. The materials were recorded in September-October 2015.
Photos of consultants who were key contributors to the project: Geoffrey Vili (GV) and Patrick Gudena (PG) were the main consultants for the final round of dictionary checking, Philip Paikai (PP) helped transcribe and translate about 1/3 of the corpus.
The field researcher leading the project and managing the recording and transcription sessions.
From Otabwe, married to a woman from Ngadeli. Lived in Honiara from 1974 to 2006, working in the police force from 1980. Has been living on Ngadeli since 2010.
From Nenubo. In his 50s in 2015.
From nanubo, married to a woman in Nanubo. Lived in Honiara and worked on ships for some years.
