| Description: | This story was recorded by Elena Kalinina and Nina Sumbatova from Galina Ivanovna Kandakova in 2006. A first transcription and translation were made by Elena Kalinina with the help of G.I. Kandakova. In 2017, Natalia Aralova time aligned the transcription, glossed the text, and checked questions with G.I. Kandakova. In this story, the mother of Galina Ivanovna moved to another house with her family while their house was being renovated. A woman, aunt Vera, came to visit them and stayed for the night. In the night, she went outside to smoke and saw the ghost of a man, which appeared suddenly. She became very frightened and went back inside the house. // Эта запись была сделана Е. Калининой и Н. | This project focuses on the documentation of Negidal, a highly moribund Northern Tungusic language spoken by at most a handful of individuals on the Amgun' and Lower Amur rivers in the Russian Federation. The language comprises two dialects, Upper and Lower Negidal, of which the latter might already be extinct. The project will result primarily in an extensive corpus of interlinearized texts from the Upper dialect together with accompanying audio recordings. | ||
