| Description: | This story was recorded by Elena Kalinina and Nina Sumbatova from Galina Ivanovna Kandakova in 2006. A first transcription and translation were made by Elena Kalinina probably with the help of G.I. Kandakova. In 2017, Daria Bikina transcribed it in ELAN and glossed. The transcription and glosses were checked and corrected by Natalia Aralova. Questions were checked with Galina I. Kandakova. This story is about Galina Ivanovna and her husband, who went to pick berries and met a bear in the forest. Since they did not have a gun with them, they decided to go back to the village. Then they returned to the same place in the forest with more people and chased the bear away by shooting. // Эта запись была сделана Е. Калининой и Н. | This project focuses on the documentation of Negidal, a highly moribund Northern Tungusic language spoken by at most a handful of individuals on the Amgun' and Lower Amur rivers in the Russian Federation. The language comprises two dialects, Upper and Lower Negidal, of which the latter might already be extinct. The project will result primarily in an extensive corpus of interlinearized texts from the Upper dialect together with accompanying audio recordings. | ||
