| Description: | This session is the first of two recodings in which Mr. Galibo Mulu, a farmer and an experienced housebuilder (doing the latter work for payment, unlike many others in Zargulla area), tells about the process of building his own house. He describes how wood, grass and otehr material for house construction are acquired. The recording was done in the house of Mr Galibo, in the presence of his family. The interview and recording of it was made by research assistants Mr. Abboye Alade and Mr. Asmelash Michael using their telephone as a recorder. The two were in an unplanned visit to the house of Mr Galibo and decided to interview him for our research project. The researcher (Azeb) was not presnt during the recording. The quality of the recording is not bad and the content of the session intersting and not much repeated in subsequent planned visit the researcher made to Mr. Galibo. For this reason, it is decided to include the sessions in the archive. | |
