Description:My uncle used to be a wise shaman who knew how to cure people. He taught me for five years how to be a traditional healer. The traditional healers had "shipa" (traditional houses for meetings about shamanism), they taught people there and they learned well. To treat people, the healers had "mori'fi" (a kind of poison) and millet, they chewed tobacco well and mixed it with the mori'fi. In the shipa, traditional healers called the spirits and others living in the jungle. These people talk about justice, the earth, sky, stars and fish. The traditional healers also had songs to call to the animals so that they wouldn't disappear. In the shipa, Tocope, Moshope and Dima drank chicha. The traditional healers went around all the people around the shipa. Women who had had sexual relationships could not enter the shipa. In the shipa, the traditional healers also had "ponoj" (a kind of drum) and "Iyadye'" (unclear).
