Description:Anton recounts the story of his role in adopting Daniela, an autochthonous Andamang resident, from the Breri-speaking village on the Ramu River called Wengebu. Because a family in Wengebu claimed to have matrilineal descent from Akapmɨŋgɨ, they insisted that Andamang repatriate one of their daughters and that she be brought up as a Chini woman. Anton goes on to describe her education and later marriage to Isreal Menche, and the children they are raising. Audio duration [00:03:46]
