Description:Joseph tells how a long time ago, two sisters, one of the Awarma sub-clan clan and one of the Aurukŋi sub-clan wandered down from Inapang area near Araŋgɨnam to what is now southern Andamang territory. There, the two meet a man and his wife in the forest and explain that they are unmarried. The man allows them to settle down in Ak̃aicpmɨŋgɨ, inside the territory of the man's sub-clan, ɨvɨŋaŋri. The man cedes the land to the two sisters, who then engage in black magic by planting some ginger they'd brought. The place then became theirs, and they constructed a hamlet in Akapmɨŋgɨ. At this point, the man, his daughter, and the two women carved out Andamang territory and doles out the land to different sub-clans. The two sisters muse to each other that their language, which they brought from Inapang, is now the language of Andamang and that all subsequent clans who arrive will know that the language of Andamang is Chini. The sisters go on to remark, however, that the Chini language is more than just what they brought, but was built by all the sub-clans who started out in Andamang territory. More sub-clans arrived and little bits of land were doled out to them, but in the end the ɨvɨnaŋri, yandvɨ̃ni, and aurukŋi sub-clans are the true autochthones and the originators of the ancestral language.
