| Description: | This session contains recordings with Daria Ivanovna Nadeina made by Natalia Aralova in July 2017 for phonetic research. The recordings were made using the audio recorder Olympus LS-14 with a directional microphone at the house where Natalia Aralova, Brigitte Pakendorf and Daria Bikina lived in Vladimirovka. At the moment of the recording it was quiet in the house. A phonetic word list of approx. 150 items (usually more, since I asked for more grammatical forms of some words) is recorded three times, with each word pronounced in isolation and in a carrier phrase bi maːndatʨij ___ gunəm “I say ___ in my language”. | This project focuses on the documentation of Negidal, a highly moribund Northern Tungusic language spoken by at most a handful of individuals on the Amgun’ and Lower Amur rivers in the Russian Federation. The language comprises two dialects, Upper and Lower Negidal, of which the latter might already be extinct. The project will result primarily in an extensive corpus of interlinearized texts from the Upper dialect together with accompanying audio recordings. | ||
| Worked in the kindergarten as teacher and director, worked as a schoolteacher, in a shop, and also in the village administration. Is very active in maintaining Negidal culture and the language. | ||
