Description:Haivuv was born in the bush on mainland Malekula. He is one of few people still alive, whose heads were bound as children in order to make them longer. This head binding tradition was common in South Malekula. In this talk Haivuv tells the story of his life and how children's heads were bound in the past. He also tells a few words about the languages that were spoken inland on South Malekula in the past.
