Description: | In this dialogue Tok Man and Kamala (both native speakers of Baram) give a short description of the Churung Mela festival. The Churung Mela festival has been performed since ancient times. People from all over the place come to celebrate the festival. The lamp was lighted in Madi river. People from Danda Gaun village come together, entertaining and enjoying the whole night. They perform songs and dances, and they gamble. Some people sell ground nuts, oranges etc. Sometimes the festival lasts three days. Even unmarried people enjoy the festival. | |
