| Description: | This recording was done at the site office of LEDBL at Gorkha in the beginning of data gathering in the field. We had invited Dambar Bahadur Baram and Tok Man Baram from Danda Gaun, Gorkha as language consultants. We asked them to tell us about the people in the past. They told us about the difficult life of the people as observed in the early days of their lives. In addition, they compared the lives in the past and the present. Life in the past was hard because people didn't have enough to eat and had to weave their clothes at home. There were no facilities of roads and transportation, so they had to walk everywhere carrying heavy loads on their backs. But nowadays, there are several types of facilities and life has become easier. The people's attitude has deviated towards the fashion from the work. | |
