| This project is part of the larger research project 'The role of finiteness' and focusses on the acquisition of the structural and functional properties of finiteness in Dutch. The aim of this longitudinal study is to explore the developmental stages in the acquisition of finiteness in 6 normally developing Dutch-learning children and 2 children with Specific Language Impairment. | ||

| The elicitation videos used in this session depicted actions like washing, eating, jumping, etc., and were designed to elicit verb-containing utterances. Although JAS and ALI liked watching the videos, the task of retelling the stories or commenting on ongoing events was clearly a bit too complicated: they summed up the objects and people in the videos, but hardly commented on the actions and events. However, they were quite talkative when doing puzzles afterwards. | ||
