Description:ENGLISH: A Trumai speaker describes her village, which is named 'Terra Preta'. First, she talks about the houses. Next, she talks about the types of plantations that are found there. The video was shot in the village where the Trumai speaker lives (a note: unfortunately the input for external microphone of the video camera got damaged during the field work, and as a result of that the video got a hiss on the background. However, it is perfectly possible to understand what the Trumai speaker says).
The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc.
