Description:		Simon Karti, f-in-law to Conrad fisheries BA at P:uu Paa, tells two traditional legends to me and Alphonsis in a leaky hut in the rain at Djaru, 24/9/95. The first is a long legend about a sacred place of which he is the guardian; the second a myth about a merman etc. Translation by Alphonsis at the end of the session. Filmed with me facing (camera looking) SE. Wildsound recorded on the small Repeater taperecorder with lapel mike - see audio.
