| Goal of this project is to get a clear view of the command of Sarnami and/or Sranan of primary school children of Suriname origin and to study their command of Dutch. | ||
| Dorian de Haan talks with 2 girls, Sanjai and Shailinda, about what they do when they come home from school, the languages they speak, Hindi language class, religion, and Hindi movies. | ||
| Dorian de Haan is the coordinator/collector of this project. She is of Dutch origin. She works at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, at the Developmental Psychology department. | ||
| Shailinda is half Dutch, half Sarnami Hindustani. With her sister she speaks Dutch. She thinks that her command of Sarnami is not so good. However, she finds both Dutch and Sarnami easy to speak. She takes a Hindi language class. She is in the pre-final form of primary school. She is not on Dorian's list of informants. Same girl as in 52A. | ||
